July 10, 200521 yr hey, about 3 months ago i had rly rly SERIOUS lag.....and my dad fixed it by deleted our like 2k cookies :P :shock: but now runescape is rly rly rly lagy and takes forever to load, and then i tried the tip.it chat for the first time in my life........ and the java took just as logn as runescape! and when i got there it was all lagy and took me like 3 misn jsut to scroll down, and took me like 5 mins to type a sentence!!!! i somehow managed on rs with lag and was talking to my friend, he started by me opening end task.....and thats the weird thing.........i cant ctrl alt delete!!!! (as i said in my other topic that no1 replyed in.......) peez help me :( bubba p.s. and its not my conenction, sumtin with java..... I Frug I (35) Always looking for friends.
July 10, 200521 yr Well, the problem might lie with your RAM, internet connection, and the HDD defrag files. There's some easy steps to this: 1. Find out how much RAM you have. If you have >256MB it's time to buy new sticks. If your processor runs >1.2GHz then it's time to buy a new computer. Defragment your computer, even if your specs aren't great! 2. If your computer runs just fine, then you are running too many applications. You may have IM, WMP, Winamp, and a few Word applications all running at the same time. Close them all and dedicate what processor power you have into Java. 3. If you're using Sun Java, that's not exactly the best thing. Sun Java has proven to be extensively laggy for me, so I use the RuneScape client (OFFICAL), which can be downloaded at the RS main site. Hope this helps.
