Crew Edit: Neither of these are required for the quest, it is a simple matter to purchase everything you need beforehand. Suggested items/skills/quests are only put in if they would make the quest easier for the user (such as teleports, armor for fighting, food, etc.) or when it can offer bonus rewards (as is the case in the most recent quest, where detours with a hammer, chisel, and axe can get bonus experience).
