December 10, 200817 yr My theory was this: Using the full book of cogs, with the familiar, on a 10 second per turn game would give me the edge in most games. Obviously using heal sphere and death drain to heal, with arcane gate and a random spell (poss Den of Darkness or shock bomb). However I got owned, seriously owned. So is it just me or is the book of cogs pretty usless. Trust the Gene Genie!
December 10, 200817 yr 1. it's drain bolt, not death drain 2. the book of cogs is good if you know how to use it 3. the book of cogs was made so that players who just go up a prestige hat can have a spellbook, with raw power to win if anything. As stated before you need to be truly skilled to master it, either that or extremely lucky. Ponies!
December 10, 200817 yr Author Yeah I struggle to win with arcane/ basic fire spells. Trust the Gene Genie!
December 10, 200817 yr Yeah I struggle to win with arcane/ basic fire spells. Yes you have to be really good to win with them. I've won a 3v1 and a 2v1 with them. What happened to the first day of members when you had to fight with f2p spells? Those were fun. Ponies!
December 10, 200817 yr Author I'm on the 3rd play through (2 hats). I loved being a non-member, all was fair and everybody had the same spells open to them meaning it was tactical. As soon as I became a member I realised it was a totally different ballgame. Right away you get thrust into a world of flight and shock bombs and mud balls and mega boulders. So hard to win those first few games against players with that kind of firepower. Best I could do was buy full fire asap then hope to own with the increased power. I also find it easier to do team games (2v2 mainly) as you are likely to be paired with a decent player and can run, hide and attack from afar. Trust the Gene Genie!
