MikeVartan
Someone let me know if this works in internet explorer. I recently reformatted my pc so i have an old version(ie5 i think) that it doesn't work with... but I think this is due to one small thing that may have been fixed in newer versions of IE. Many people know me as Mike_. I doubt this will get me in trouble, but if this breaks any kind of rules please remove this topic. Basically, I program websites. Unfortunately, I am also a [bleep] for feedback... so please give some... whether positive or negative. A few hours of tweaking and I am finally done. Basically, how this tool works is that you use this with a large clan, or if I can get enough users using it periodically it can be used 24/7. The tool relies on members updating it (World 64 is the unofficial PP world. only use this world!). Basically, if you are going through the pyramid and the tool suggests the wrong door, click on the correct door on the top bar to update it for all of the other users, so they don't make the same mistake as you. Here is a picture of the tool: http://img67.imageshack.us/img67/9734/1 ... 659dj0.png (before you accuse me of phish... if you are on firefox you can easily verify the validity of a frame. Right click, this frame -> view page info will pull this page up (http://img177.imageshack.us/img177/2022 ... 052cs2.png) Tool: http://www.merchants-of-death.net/PP/index.php PS. Sorry about the whole register first thing. I had to add that feature because I'm afraid people will purposely suggest the wrong answer to the server... and since i require registration i can ban any user that abuses my tool. once again, if this breaks any rules remove it. Tim
Just as an Advice, We don't endorse the use of 3rd party Clients/Items and that website of yours is a Clan of whom Price Manipulates which is Strictly against the rules of RuneScape. im sure any other player, Admin or Moderator will say otherwise. I looked through all 15 rules and there isn't a rule against it, the closest one is this 5. Is it a scam to ask for lots of money for an item? It is not considered a scam to ask for large amounts of money for an item, but it is not in the spirit of fair play to over price an item. It is not our intention to set limits on what players trade. It is a player's responsibility to make sure that they are paying a good price for an item. We would suggest doing research prior to future trades by using the applicable forums or talking to other players. If they are just buying items as his site says as a group, they all put all of their money into one specific item. This item is chosen by a panel of experts to ensure maximum profits. Since the group puts in a large amount of buy requests on this specific item, the item demand skyrockets and the supply makes its way to zero. Illegal price manipulation as set forward by mods on Runescape.com forums includes deceptful sales (such as claiming to sell something you don't own), or claiming something is rare/cheap while it isn't. Of the 15 official Jagex rules and the forums, there is no mention of legally buying items & later selling them at a profit after their demand increases. Price manipulation is against the rules and I have a few quotes. Now the threads these we're posted on were bumped off the forums it up to you to decide though but these quotes are 100% real. EDIT: I found a QFC of it being said by a forum mod for proof. Quick find code: 82-83-517-57947327 [hide=Quotes about Price Manipulation]Purposefully trying to change the value of items is not allowed. * Pretending to buy or sell when you have no intention of doing either. Pretending to sell to another player to raise/lower the price * Telling others to raise or lower the price of an item. 'OMG noob item blah is worth so much more. Sell for this price'. * Openly telling everyone to raise/lower a price. 'Listen here whip owners, we're going to push the price up to 10 mil join me!'. * Saying an item is rare when it is not to increase the price. * Ganging up with other players to raise/lower a price by filling the forum with threads buying/selling for that price. All of these are price manipulations and are unfair. By using these tactics you are scamming and you will be banned. You are welcome to sell your items at whatever price you choose, but remember, choosing a high price for an item does not make the item worth that value. The chances are, you will still have the item and push the buyers to another seller who has chosen a more modest price. If you are unhappy with the price of an item, wait and buy it or sell it when the market is more to your liking. This was locked for Price Manipulating. It was also locked for naming another players Clan chat. Said player has all ready had several threads locked for this type of thread. I strongly suggest people stop making these type of threads because you are risking a Forum Ban. Thank you. BlueLancer
Not only is that a forum mod & not an official Jagex mod, this group is doing none of the below: * Pretending to buy or sell when you have no intention of doing either. Pretending to sell to another player to raise/lower the price They're not pretending to buy anything, they have the financial capacity for it like normal merchants. * Telling others to raise or lower the price of an item. 'OMG noob item blah is worth so much more. Sell for this price'. They hold onto an item until the demand rises, just like people who bought hats/santas when they were cheaper * Openly telling everyone to raise/lower a price. 'Listen here whip owners, we're going to push the price up to 10 mil join me!'. To quote the site it is essential that each member of the group can hold out for 1-3 weeks. During this time the price will increase 7-15k a day. It is essential to your profits that you do not take your offer down, or else it is unlikely you will be able to buy more. The price rising is a natural market reaction and doesn't happen instantly, once again, no official Jagex staff or more importantly, the 15 rules upon which players can be banned or blackmarked, mention anything about it * Saying an item is rare when it is not to increase the price. Like rule 5 says that's scamming, I registered a test account on his site & they don't have that modus operandi. They only buy a selected item in large quantities to increase it's demand * Ganging up with other players to raise/lower a price by filling the forum with threads buying/selling for that price. That's scamming too, like said, unless they actually make dozens of posts with inflated prices for items, they've done nothing legally wrong. I don't defend this guy or even know him, but what he's doing doesn't conflict with any of the known rules Jagex has set forward. If an action isn't defined on http://www.runescape.com/kbase/view.ws? ... of_conduct, we have no basis to remove it. (3rd party applications on the other hand, are an entirely different issue which is defined in the rules like you said) Either way, advertise your things here, or here: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=144061
