December 17, 200817 yr Hello, I have to do my first spiritual mages task, since i got 83 slayer a while ago. But i don't know what to wear and what to bring. Can I bring a summon creature too (70 summoning)? If anyone could help me or knows a good guide that would be really nice! Lethal Sjaak

December 17, 200817 yr Well, when I have Aberrant Spectres, or Spiritual Mages, I flash my prayer. Only turn the protect from Mage on, right before they hit, and right after they hit, I turn it off. This helps save ALOT of prayer potions. I can get away with 4-5 prayer pots (4) per task. I also bring a Ancient Mace (restores prayer with special) and my Holy Wrench. Sometimes, if I get lucky with the mace, i do not use any prayer pots!!!! Sometimes, if I get lucky with the mace, i do not use any prayer pots!!!! I'm assuming your making this up, given that your slayer level isn't high enough to kill mages, even with pies. Now, the facts: Prayer switching does not work well with spirit mages, as their animation is interrupted when you hit them. Therefore, most of the time you can't see the casting animation, and prayer flashing is almost impossible. As for ancient mace, assuming each task takes an hour with 20 prayer pot doses, that's roughly 400 prayer points and 12 specs, meaning you hit an average of 33 per special, with 82 attack and 80 strength. Please, if your going to make stuff up, keep it believable. Use proslyte and a whip; any combat familiar won't be of much help as they die fast, and if they don't they will OWN your summon. My Geyser TItan (600something HP, massive defence) lasts 20-25 minutes there. An overlord would last a few minutes at most.
