Hey people. I was just wondering what would be the most effective way (effective as in middle route of xp/hour and cost) to level smithing and herblore. I have about 4.5 mill to spend and was looking for some opinions on what to do.

either iron ores with forge ring and make iron knives or gold ores with gold smith gauntlets but it cost abou 500 a gold or but if you craft it to an unstrung gold amulet they sell on ge so you lose 300 gp a bar

 

 

 

edit andasuming you smelt 1k ores an hour and smith 1k abrs an hour its 37.5k epx with iron or i think 55 or 65 with gold

Once you get 53 smithing, you can make mith bolts at the blast furnace (be sure to use sacred clay hammers; you might have to feather the bolts to get them to sell). This generallyabout breaks even with the possibility to make some money depending on when you buy/sell your supplies/bolts (respectively).

 

 

 

As for herblore, you really have three choices: you can research each potion you can make and buy the stuff to make the one that will cost the least (slower exp, but less cost); you can just buy everything for and make the potion that will give yout he most exp (best exp, but likely to cost more); or you can collect your own herbs and just use the ones you get (slowest exp, by far, but also the cheapest).

For what it's worth, I have 53 smithing and 3 Volatile hammers at the moments. (Of course they will change every 10%).
