vaneck
hi, apparently you were awarded differently than I have been. in the quote (beneath) you have been given that xp, but I got 12,500 fletching xp / 14,400 firemaking xp / 11,556 crafting xp as a reward for completing the quest. is this accurate? the experience reward could be connected by the player's skill levels, but if that is so it would be strange that you got more experience in your reward as I have higher fletching, firemaking, and crafting skills than you. (This WILL need some sharpening but its all i got for now) 5 phoenix feathers (used for summoning) 15,550 fletching exp 21,900 firemaking exp 12,738 crafting exp
vaneck
http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?f=113&t=778019 Difficulty level: Easy Start location: Outside a cave South-West of Piscatoris Fishing Colony Required: level 55 firemaking, level 53 fletching, level 52 crafting Items: Secateurs, knife, thinderbox (will be given to you during the quest by Brian Twitcher the Priest of Guthix) Monsters: none during the quest, but after the quest there is a daily minigame/ opportunity to fight the Phoenix and the lairs guards. NPC: Priest of Guthix, Phoenix Walkthrough 1: Priest of Guthix Talk to the priest outside of the cave. He will tell you that the phoenix is mortally wounded and cannot continue the ritual of rebirth himself. The priest is too old and he needs a young adventurer to help the phoenix. If you ask all the possible questions to the priest he will give you a secateur, knife, and thinderbox. If you brought them yourself already he wont give them to you. The priest will also explain how the ritual is performed. In order for the phoenix to be reborn there are 5 twigs necessary of 5 particular trees. 2: Cutting the trees On every level of the lair you will find 1 tree. Use you secateurs on the tree to cut its branches. 3: weaving the basket Once you have the branches from the cinnamon, sassafras, ailanthus, cedar & mastic tree use your knife on them to fletch the basket. Put the basket on the logs in the phoenix lair. A movie scene will follow, and the phoenix will crawl to the basket. 4: lighting the basket Once the movie clip ends use your thinderbox on the basket. The ritual is completed and the fire phoenix will be reborn. Talk to the phoenix and he will give you 5 feathers used to make level 72 summoning phoenix pouches. The phoenix will also tell you about a future minigame you can attend once a day. The phoenix wants you to perform the ritual once per day so the phoenix will live longer than the original 500 years. If you make your way through the guards that protect the lair, and defeat the phoenix you will be given 5 feathers from the phoenix. 5: Brian Twitcher Finally talk to Brian Twitcher to receive the rest of the reward and to finish the quest. Reward: 1 questpoint 5 phoenix quills 14.400 firemaking experience 12.500 fletching experience 11.556 crafting experience Access to the Phoenix lair once per day Tips, tricks & notes: If you have done Fairy Tale part 2, or at the point that you can use the fairyring network you can dial to co-ordinates: A K Q to get to the quest cave faster. pokemama
Correct rewards were posted in the quest guide released that evening, along with correct monster levels. Generally we collect info from the quest as we do it ourselves, along with info from any user-written guides posted in the Player Made Guides subforum, such as the one written by vaneck. Thanks for wanting to help. it's a lot easier to get over yourself when you look at intelligence the same way you look at beauty, or height, or eye color: being smart is easy, but being good is hard ... being smart is handed to you, being good is handed to *nobody*.
