Not a huge fan of FoG due to the decaying nature of the rewards, but one thing in particular really irks me. I'm merrily farming tokens for rc gloves, and twice, when facing a completely clueless opponent and building over 4k charges, I just get disconnected. Both times I was using the "meld into the center" strategy on very crowded worlds, racking up charges, sitting at high HP, when BAM, logged out. Needless to say rating drop and forfeiter debuff ensues. I'm not afk, as I'm constantly spinning the map to check for my opponent, so it just really irks me now >.

In a crowded world at a spot where a ton of people are, a lot of them spamming.

 

 

 

You're getting dropped because your computer/internet can't handle the load. It's not Jagex, it's you.

Even with public off your still getting the messages just not seeing them but it helps though.

If your doing nothing whatsoever for 90 seconds, then yes you'll log off.

 

 

 

If your DCIng, it's your computer\connections fault. I don't DC, ever.

Yep, the computer still gets the messages. Why else would they show up if you switch your public back on? I did notice that it helps you lag a bit less though, but if your computer was that bad then you're sill probably gonna get disconnected.

Doh! thanks for the info. I thought the inactivity thing was changed to 5 min for some reason >.< Now that i know it's only 90 seconds I'll be a bit more aware.

DCIng is your computers fault, but I can see the problem if you weren't doing anything for 5 minutes.

If your doing nothing whatsoever for 90 seconds, then yes you'll log off.
