:wall: About 6 months ago, I started playing Runescape. When I first started it was slow/twitchy/jerky and the sound was poor/broken up. In a blind search for help , i read something somewhere, that told me how to go into my computer and reserve a certain amount of memory space for my Runescape game. After that, it always ran really well - no lags, very fluid, good sound.... =D>

(btw, I am on a HP Pavilion laptop with Vista and Nvidia graphics built in)

Recently however, I installed a new anti-virus program, which unknowingly returned my computer to it's original settings. Now the game is jerky again, the graphics are not at all fluid, and the sound is spotty. Of course, I can't remember how or what changes I made originally, so can't get back to where I need to reserve the memory space again. #-o

Does anybody know what I am talking about? :?: Could someone please advise me how to specifically reserve the memory again? (ie: I don't just need to know where to go, I need to know what exactly to type to reserve it again) Sorry I'm so computer-unaware... and thus can't be more clear. Thanks for your time looking into this, any help deeply appreciated.

Are you talking about just doing

Ctrl+Alt+Del

Task manager

Right click on java in processes and set it to high priority

or what? Either way you shouldn't have to mess around with your computers configuration like that to get a game like runescape to play well. Are you trying to play SD or HD RS? Also, what is your computers specs and current graphics card. Finally, what was the new anti virus you just installed?
