Hello my name is Alex and i have something that is really bugging me. A few months back my friend came over and blocked runescape from my computer. I have tried every trick in the book and cant figure out how to unblock it. He is a computer wizz kid and did something crazy in my settings. I don't think its a simple fix , and I'm certain it has nothing to do with my firewall. I am able to load the game using a site which i will not mention because i believe it will get my topic removed for advertising or something. But i can tell you it wasn't a proxy, it just masked the url somehow and connected me to the world i wanted like a bookmark.

Unfortunately the site only lets me access worlds and not forums etc. one more thing is when i use the above mentioned site it wont let me use the high detail version of the game. I want to become a member once again, but i can't do so until this problem is solved.

I am running on windows xp and using Firefox, but IE doesn't work either. i am the administrator of my computer.

-also when i go to runescape.com it does come up but with a white background and all the text is to the left and no pictures or anything show up, and when i click a link i get "page load error"

PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN!!!

I'm guessing he just blocked it through your hosts file.

Go to WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts and open it up in notepad. See if anything related to runescape.com is added in there and, if it is, delete it and save the file.
