Which direction should I go with my F2P account?

Hey all,

 

 

 

I've decided to come back to RuneScape, but on my pure account.

 

 

 

I'm quite capable of making money if necessary...

 

 

 

It's stats are...

 

Attack 40

 

Strength 32

 

Defense 20

 

Range 2

 

Mage 29

 

Prayer 20

 

 

 

It's F2P, and I'm not really sure which way to go.

 

 

 

As I write this I'm training up my strength to about 50.

20 def is worthless imo. May as well go whole hog and get 40 for rune. 31 pray too, and get 80+ str.

Okay, and what about range/mage?

 

I want to get at least all the teleports for f2p... But should i be a range/str hybrid?

Range/str hybrid is a tricky one at lower levels (50-65) range/R2H is hands down the KO king but after that strength dominates. Who cares if your arrows can hit 16s when a scimmy is pounding 24s on ya, and the meleeman has a sneaky R2H capable of inflicting a further 29 on top of that. Range/R2H are a lot of fun, esp if you are 1 def, 1 pray and in the 55-63 combat range. Once you succumb to the temptation of pray though melee will take hold of you. The range will always come in handy supplying you with additional hits, and allowing you to hybrid in clan wars.

 

 

 

Dumb mains also put on protect prayers and sometimes dont notice if you switch, or cant switch quick enough. I scored two rune kills last night because of slow prayer switchers!
