TR vs RDC

Featured Replies

The Rising massed up for a short prep PK today in the hopes of finding a good fight. However, due to the fact that our members were not expecting to PK, we started with a disappointing 70 options or so. We heard that RDC were out with about 120 options (45 people in TS), but wanted to mass up further before fighting them. After hopping a world or two, we got word that RDC was coming east while we sat at members gate. At the time, we had massed up about 81 options with a few EST members. We decided to simply fight instead hopping worlds to gain higher options while more members logged on.

The Rising starting: 81

Red Devil Clan starting: 110-120 (?)

The fight started off surprisingly even, with both clans getting quick KOs and having excellent binds (especially surprising for TR considering our lack of fall-in leaders at the trip). However, we soon found our options dwindling after a few bad piles and due to a lack of hybrids. The fight continued with TR having about a 60 option pile and RDC having about 90-100, and due to their numerical advantage, RDC soon took the lead and brought us down to a consistent 45 option pile. The Rising regrouped in various spots around the wilderness, but never went out of standard PKRI boundaries and maintained a pile whenever possible on RDCs many snipers who were sent our way.

Several times TR seemed to be making a comeback, but RDCs numerical advantage had us still regrouping at several times during the fight. Still, The Risings determination and loyal members held on, and eventually pulled our options even to RDCs. At this point, RDC appeared to try to mass snipe in a final attempt to get us to end. However, after about 3 hours of fighting, we werent even close to being done.

At about the three hour mark, TR was at about a 50 option pile and RDC was slightly above, with about a 60 option pile. However, we targeted their many hybrids and rangers and got quick kills, whereas RDC piled indiscriminately between our tanks, rangers, and hybrids. This allowed us to slowly but surely pull the options even as our members on Vent remained ever steady and theirs on TS dropped. After about 4 hours of fighting, RDC informed us that they were done. We chased them into the castle east of new gate, where they logged to a different world.

The Rising ending: 72

RDC ending (after massing up on a separate world): 70-80

Personally I had 11 deaths (about 7 of which were in the first hour ) and about 2 assists...with no kills

Id like to thank all of many wonderful members of TR who stayed up late for this fight, and also the members of TR (both ranked and unranked) who stepped up to lead today and did a fantastic job, despite some having little to no experience.
