I'm 60 runecrafting and I've been thinking about training runecrafting using the ZMI altar. My question is: At my level, how much money will I lose per hour and how much exp will I get as well? I realize it may be hard to estimate, but any guess would help.

 

 

 

Also, is there a level where I would break even?

 

 

 

I could use any level of banking, including lunars, ring of duelling, etc.

I heard just today that around your level you start to break even and will soon notice a profit

i don't know about profit/breaking even seeing that i earned my own essence with G.O.P.

 

 

 

but with this banking method you can do it fast without a loss in runes for teleports.

 

1. start with about 5-10 law and 5-10 astral runes and a earth staff equipped(this also gives you some magic defence that's a nice extra)

 

2. teleport ouriana, run towards the altar

 

3. craft all essence you can carry(the 3 pouches, and it's best to also bring a familiar)

 

4. teleport to lunar isle, bank there

 

5. after a while you'll see that you make more law and astral runes then you use with the teleport.

Bring an abyssal familiar and a super energy pot.

 

 

 

Super energy takes up 1 space but you gain 7 from the familiar so effectively 6 extra spaces.

 

Terrorbirds don't give you extra space but still take up a space with there scrolls.

 

The extra 6 runes are more than likely going to be able to pay for the 1 dose of super energy you will need per trip.

That's fast. But in reality it is actually a few seconds slower than banking in ZMI. The cost isn't high for banking. Fires are easily buyable at 9gp each.

 

 

 

What you do is drop all the elemental runes you don't need while you run to the Trapdoor. Once you get the feel for it, it's extremely quick and saves runes.
