February 21, 200917 yr Have you ever wondered where Jagex should expand to next? My idea is this: Bandit Island. Map at bottom. Located to the West of the Desert Bandit Camp that you can get to by going through Shanty Pass, the island was once an alive and ecomically stable area. The islands main economical income came from fishing and the warriors that lived on the island, the dungeon below gave out good rewards for the higher skilled warriors that ventured to the depths below. Only 22 years after the island was first inhabited, the Bandits inhabited the camp on the shore across from the island, the only way onto the island was across a bridge which the Bandits wasted no time ripping apart. They next built a makeshift boat and went across to the island and offered to take the towns people to the shore for a fee of 10,000 gold, the warriors fought the Bandits but they just left, the fish were running out and after a year and a half the mayor offered a total of 1,000,000 Gold to take the total of about 100 citizens across. The Bandits agreed and once the citizens were gone the Bandits wasted no time. The Bandits bought supplies and built a large wall around the town and raided the homes, since then the town has been unoccupied for years. The Quest: Required Levels: 40 Construction 60 Strength 50 Smithing 20 Fishing Ability to defeat a level 107 monster I MAY make these requirerments harder, and I may make you have to do other quests to complete this one. Not sure yet. Quest start: Go to Falador and talk to the real estate man, he will tell you that there is an island that is worth a lot to him and his brother (his brother is the Mayors son in the quest), and if you help him and his brother they will reward you nicely. You can find the Mayors son in Al Kharid near the Gate to lumbridge. He will tell you he needs help. Your mission should you choose to accept it, get to the island without being detected and get enough weapons from the hidden dungeons store room to supply enough men to attack the Bandit camp. Once you have the weapons you must get yourself off the island with them, this would be much harder because you need a larger boat to get them back. Once you get the weapons to the other side the men are waiting to take them and fight the Bandits away. Once the fight is over the Mayors son will ask you to help them rebuild the bridge that led to the town and help rebuild the town itself. You will need some planks, gather enough planks (10 should do) to help rebuild the bridge, bring 15 nails for each plank for a total of 150 nails, rebuild the bridge and help the men get to the town. Once you reach the outer wall, take your spade and start digging a hole, like the one you dug before and dig a route under the wall, once inside you can open the large gate which lets the men inside. The Mayors son will inspect the town and decide that some tasks must be completed before the town can be inhabited again. Task 1: The Bank The Bank seems to have sunken into the ground on one side. You must first go back into the dungeon and constuct a brace to lift the bank back up to the surface. (60 strength required). Once you have completed this, you must collect enough dirt to make sure that the Bank stays where it is. Get 20 buckets of dirt (dig in the dirt pit on the south-eastern part of the island) and fill in the hole around the bank. Task 2: The Furnace It seems that the furnace has degraded. You will need to re-build it! OF course regular metal will not work because it would simply melt (like the ores your smelt in the furnace!) You will need to make a new metal. Take 5 Iron bars a 2 Granite Bars to the Mayor, he will tell you that one of his men is a master smelter and blacksmith. You bring him the supplies and he tells you that he will need a mage. Go to the wizards tower and talk to the head wizzard, for a small fee of 10,000 coins he agrees to enchant this metal if you bring it to him. Go back to the island and get the sheet (which now has granite in it for strength) and bring it to the head wizzard. Give it to him and the 10,000 coins, now you will have an enchanted Granion sheet. Bring it to the master smither and blacksmith. He will tell you that he has injured his right arm while repairing the roof of the General store (your next task) and so you need to install it, he gives you a special mallet (the tar mallet and you install the sheet. Task 3: The General Store The roof needs to be fixed. You will need 10 planks and 20 shingles. Gather the planks and install them on the roof with 150 nails. Next you need the shingles. You can go to get swamp tar or get it another way. once you collect 40 swamp tar, take 5 planks and cut them into small planks using an axe of any sort. Once you have the small planks, use the swamp tar on them and you get shingles, a total of 20. Go back to the island and you finish the task by installing them on the roof. Task 4: The Fountain For this task you will need a spade and 3 sections of pipe. You can get pipe by asking the master smither for a pipe mold, each pipe section needs 3 iron bars. Get 9 iron bars and make 3 sections of pipe. You should now head down into the dungeon and venture into the middle, here you will find a Giant. Kill the Giant (level 107) and take the key from his corpse. Open the gate that leads into the small room that has the pump for the fountain, you will need to empty some of the water out of the room, take 5 buckets and fill them with water. You then will need to take the pipes and hammer them into place on the well that leads to the fountain. Now the water flow is running again and you have finished this task. Task 5: Fishing! The Mayor asks you to go to each fishing spot around the island (there are 8 in total) and use a net to catch fish from each one. Bring them back and put them in the towns fountain. The towns fisher will then watch them and make sure they are all edible, not a hard task at all. Task 6: The Pier This is the final task. You need to repair the pier for the South-Western part of the island. Go to the wall and open the gate that leads to this part of the island. Use 10 planks to repair the pier and go back to the Mayor (again you need 150 nails to repair the pier). He will tell you how thankfull he is. Quest complete! Quest points awarded: 3 Other rewards: 5,000 Gold 10,000 Construction Exp 20,000 Smithing Exp 5,000 Strength Exp 5,000 Fishing Exp Access to the fishing spots around the island. Access to the PoH portal (yay, you can build a house on this island!) NOTE: The PoH building area is an island and has water around it. Tell me what you think! I will be adding more, I am thinking of a new thing for PoH's and I think fishers might like it. [hide=Map]YES, I know it isn't perfect but neither is MS paint. February 21, 200917 yr Author Like I said, I might make them harder. Whoever said "nothing is impossible", obviously never tried slamming a revolving door.

February 21, 200917 yr The Poh suggestion doesnt work. Why would you want your house in a area where only people who have done the quest can go? Tip.It's Official Undercover Agent
February 21, 200917 yr The Poh suggestion doesnt work. Why would you want your house in a area where only people who have done the quest can go? So you can quickly teleport there... Pureprayer, you're awesome.
February 21, 200917 yr Author Really, are you kidding? First of all it might not even be a reward but think of it, how many people REALLY have there houses in Al Kharid, not many....My idea is also that with 80+ fishing and 70+ construction you could build a pier room and catch fish eggs, they would give you a random fish and after like 1,000 fish that you have fished they would run out, it would be a neat thing that people could have in there house, they would own their own fishing spot. Whoever said "nothing is impossible", obviously never tried slamming a revolving door.
