Take the best melee equipment you have. High melee and range defences are very helpful.

Inv:

- a prayer potion or three

- super set

- a full load of monkfish/sharks

- maybe a dds or something to spec

Strategy:

Pray mage if you see any magers attacking you or you know they will attack you. If there are no mages, pray range or melee, depending on the numbers of different opponents.

Don't bother avoiding the "guards", that can take up much more time than killing them. You will have to kill only one or two per level, as only the ones in "1-square-paths" block the way. Do it quick, prune the tree and run to the next level.

For the phoenix, all i can say is to pray magic. This is pretty much the easy part of the Phoenix lair as it attacks only with magic, so if you praying, it can't hurt you at all.

I hope this is being helpful. Maybe this won't work out the best for you, but with practice and doing the minigame everyday, you will get better and find the most suitable ways for you.

Good luck!
