How To Use The Bestiary

Under "Sections of the Bestiary", "Hits" is described as:

This is the number of hitpoints that the monster has. This is also the slayer experience given for killing the monster if it is your slayer task. Also note that monsters in RuneScape regenerate health, this is the number of hits it has if it does not regenerate any health.

The part in bold should be removed as this has been proven incorrect long ago and is already quite evident in the Slayer Planner, largely thanks to me. Please remove this archaic bit from the description. :)

Alternatively you could just add that it's also the Slayer experience sometimes... but I think the best thing to do would be remove it altogether, or, as I did on my website, actually add a field for Slayer XP into the Bestiary and use PHP to have the Slayer Planner dynamically reference it, to decrease the chance of mis-synchronized values. This would also automate the process of adding monsters to the Slayer Planner as it could simply select whatever monsters in the Bestiary had a Slayer XP of more than zero by itself.

  • Never trust anyone. You are always alone, and betrayal is inevitable.
  • Nothing is safe from the jaws of the decompiler.
