Bonnie 'Prince' Billy - Beware

Yes! Finally! The first Will Oldham release of 2009 is out! The new Bonnie 'Prince' Billy album was released yesterday, here in Holland at least. It's called Beware.

I have only heard it once, so I don't know it very well yet, but so far I'm liking it. The background vocals sound more soullike, instead of a fragile Canadian girl. ;) On first hearing there's also the typical Oldham humor. And there's a lot of sax, which also is something new on a Will Oldham, as far as I know. I think this album and I will become good friends. A lot of good stuff.
