Xbox 360 troubles

Featured Replies

My Xbox officially hates me. My brother and I tried to load up Call of Duty 4 last night, and as soon as we popped the game in, it sat us at the new dashboard and didnt read the disk. We looked at if funny for a moment, then tried again. Still nothing. We tried GH:WT. Still nothing. Same thing with every disk.

THIS IS NOT THE UNREADABLE DISK PROBLEM

We do NOT get a message on the game status of "Unable to read disk", it acts as if there is no disk inside the Xbox. The only things we get are :

Close Tray --> we then insert disk

Reading (obviously)

Open Tray ---> Disk is in the Xbox, wtf?

Anyone have any help/advice/suggestions?

Our warranty was shot up when our 1st generation 360 overheated and its been more then a year since then. So sending it in will cost us a boatload, id like that to be a last resort.

Plus, if we have to take it apart, need a step by step instruction. I have no idea how to do it.

Thanks all! Well, if you can help.........
