Difficulty Level: Medium

 

 

 

Start: Speak to Manni the Reveller in the Great Hall in Relleka. He is planning a feast for Brundt the Chieftan. He sends you to invite King Vargas of Miscellania and Mawnis Burougher of Neitznot.

 

 

 

 

 

Speak to Manni and tell him that Vargas and Mawnis of Neitznot will not come to the feast.

 

He will tell you to speak to Chieftan Brundt and tell him although it will expose the birthday feast.

 

 

 

A cut scene follows and The Chieftan tells of a battle 15 years earlier where the three of them fought together in a cave near the fishing guild and lost a battle to retrieve one tablet of a 5 part tablet message (prophecy). The other 4 were lost. You volunteer to go into the cave, but the Chieftan does not know where it is. He suggests you talk to the other two to figure out which cave.

 

 

 

The Chieftan gives you 1 part of the directions to the cave. Go see King Vargas. King Vargas tells a different story and gives you more directions. Go see Mawnis Burougher of Netiznot.

 

 

 

Bring your pickaxe. Head east of Relleka and then North across the ice path where players hunt for Sabre-toothed Kyatts.

 

 

 

Hop across the ice then start inspecting holes until tracks appear go north and inspect each track North of the Hunter guide. The last track allows you to dig with your pickaxe and a cave will open up.

 

 

 

Pick up the note and read it. Prepare for battle and go in second cave. Gian Yeti will attack. Kill it and pick up drops including Nial's axe and yeti fur.

 

 

 

Go speak with Freygerd. She would like you to speak to the King about the immigration tax.

 

Go speak with the King. He gives special dispensation. Go speak again with Freygerd.

 

 

 

Go speak with Mawnis on Neitznot.He agrees to go the feast after all!

 

Speak with Manni in Relleka telling him the good news about Mawnis.

 

 

 

Bring some rope and a pole. Go to the daughter of the mountain chieftan east of Relleka.

 

Speak to the lake and she will appear.

 

 

 

She tells you to fill a vial with spring water from the island and add clean irit herb.

 

Then she tells you to grind the diamond root with pestle and mortar and enchant it as if enchanting diamond jewelry. Then add it to the vial of irit. Next add the fur of a yeti.

 

 

 

Take it to King Vargas to drink. Then return and talk to Brundt the Chieftan about the unfinished astral rune. He will remember that a moonclan mage joined the party. Then talk to Manni again about the feast.

10,000 magic XP

 

5,000 Herblore

Give the astral rune to baba yaga in Lunar, she'll tell the remaining story. I'd attach a picture but can't find the "attach" link on the forum here (sorry, I don't post often). Get an xp lamp that gives 2500 xp in any skill. No more quest points.

Ancient Stone Tablet (not sure if exact name)

 

Cutscean of what "really" happened.

 

 

 

The stone reads "and the name will be Bardur" prophecy of your arrival lol! I can't seem to find anyone that will take the ancient tablet off me though.

 

 

 

EDIT: ok, asked a few players in game, tablet goes to museum in Varrock.

Just to update. It is NOT a Medium Quest, If you go into the Knowledge Base for it, It clearly says "Master". So far every other "Guide" has said it. :wall:

I think it is worth noting in the quest guide that you need to be on normal magics to enchant the root. The guide just states to bring runes only later do you find that they are for enchant spell i was on lunar when doing this quest for the easy tellies in the area.
