There is an island just northwest of Miscellania full of cute level 2 penguins, accessible only through fairy rings. When I found myself there, I promptly slaughtered them all and then became worried when I remembered about my approval rating. However, I was relieved to discover that it had not been affected. Maybe this should be added to the guide?

The guide states "Approval ratings also drop if you kill a subject or steal from the stalls, and in those cases it can go all the way down to 0%."

 

 

 

However, I had the same question about killing bunnies and chickens right on the islands. Turns out they don't count either.
