Help! I'm stuck in Freaky Forester [please remove]

I was teleported to a clearing, asked to kill the x-tailed pheasant, did so, "use"d it on the Forester, who said I'm free to go now. I can talk to him and all he says is "you are free to go" or words to that effect. However, when I try to teleport or rub my glory ammy, I speak the words "I must complete the Forester's task before I can leave" or words to that effect and am prevented from leaving. I think I've found a bug, but it's annoying that my character is forever stuck in the clearing that I can't leave. Oh, and I tried walking out, but of course it's impenetrable. I log out, but then have to kill the pheasant again and have the same result.
