How to do Clue Scrolls Efficiently (on hold)

Currently on hold due to real life issues.

Work in Progress. Currently drafting out some completely new sections in MS Word then i'll add some, and then concentrate on adding more detail and explanations once i have a decent structure to it.

Hello and welcome to this guide bla bla bla

This guide is not a guide on completeing clue scrolls, we have the fantastic guide on the main page for that. It is a guide to aid you when completeing clue scrolls, which i feel is something that the website lacks. I hope this guide will become a 2nd tresure trail companion to you if you need to use it, i feel i have compiled all the information that you need that is not in the guide on the tipit website. bla bla bla

i. First thing - Organise your windows.

I always have 3 separate windows when doing a clue scroll.

1st Window: Runescape.

2nd Window: Tipit Forums

1st tab: World map

3rd Window: Tipit Treasure Trails Guide

1st tab: Fairy ring map

2nd tab: Full List of Coordinates

3rd tab: Treasure locator pop up

This formation is the same for level 1, 2 and 3 but with level 3 sometimes you will get a puzzle box.

When this happens i find it best to either have a printed out version of all completed puzzle boxes on the top of your computer monitor or a seperate window. 'Restore' the window and drag the dimensions of the window around the runescape screen, do the same for the puzzle box solutions so you can see them next to each other.

ii. Bank Tabs

If you have space in your bank, i strongly recommend having a tab exclusively for treasure trails, this will help you find all the equipment you need as soon as you start a clue scroll

[hide=An example of my bank]banktab.png

I don't have a separate tab for clues, but i do have a separate space dedicted to clues so i know exactly where all my misc equipment is. I have a spade in my 'tools' tab and runes and teleportation devices in my 'combat' tab. The items such as blue dragonhide, fire battlestaffs and diamond rings etc, are all items i find that i regulary need with a Uri emote clue - so to save me hassle from buying them every time i need them - i just store them in my dedicated space.[/hide]

Most convienient charter ship is at Catherby

Prices depend on whether you have a Ring of charos(a) and if you have completed Cabin Fever

First pic is a full price to Oo'glog, 2nd pic is price with the ring activated.

And here is a table if you have a ring plus you have completed Cabin Fever

Fairy Rings

[hide=Fairy Rings]Fairy Rings Map

You need a Dramen staff, or Lunar Staff to use this method, and you needed to have started Fairy Tale Part II, A - Cure a Queen

Most convienient ring is at edgeville. Use a glory amulet (get one in your house!) for a quick teleport, or alternatively run North West from the Grand Exchange[/hide]

Spirit Trees

[hide=Spirit Trees]spirittree1.png

Most convienient spirit tree is just North East of the Grand Exchange[/hide]

Gnome Gliders

[hide=Gnome Gliders]gnome1.png

Most convienient glider is in Al Kharid. Use a dueling ring to teleport to the arena and run South West

*Grand tree

*White Wolf Mountain

*Digsite

*Al Kharid

*Karamja

*Feldip Hills[/hide]

iv. Using your house

[hide=My House]house1.png

My house is only very basic, but it has all the necessities for doing a clue scroll.

An altar to recharge prayer after a battle

A glory for fast access to edge.--> I can then recharge my summoning points whilst on my way to the grand exchange and then use my bank/Grand exchange for anything i may need.

It's also a safezone so if you die in there, you keep all your items![/hide]

2. Level 1

Level 1 clues are very basic, and generally do not require much thought. They don't lead you into any potentially dangerous areas and therefore no armour or weapons are generally required. You should aim for minimal weight by using this equipment.

Setup:

########

[hide=Invo]level1invo.png[/hide]

Familiar

########

3. Level 2

Setup

Invo

Familiar

4. Level 3

Some level 3 scrolls require you to fight a Level 65 Zamorak Wizard in the wilderness. This is why the setup alters slightly. Also in level 3s, you have to fight a tricky Level 108 Saradomin wizard

For wilderness setups i suggest something along the lines of this

[hide=Wildy Setup]level3wildysetup.png

Helm: None You can add a nez helm if you feel you need extra prayer/str bonus, but the wizard really isn't that hard to take down

Neck: Skills necklace So you can tele at level 30 wildy, (usually you can't do it before level 20)

Torso: Black d'hide body Magic Defence

Legs: Black d'hide chaps Magic Defence

Boots: Boots of Lightness Weight reduction so you can run for longer

Gloves: Forinthry brace Allows you to teleport if teleblocked

Ring: Jennica's ring Provides a method of escape if needed

Cape: Spottier cape Weight reduction so you can run for longer

Weapon: Dragon scimmy Fast weapon, Zamorak wizard has low defence

Shield: Anti Dragon sheild Protects you from dragons if you accidently run through some[/hide]

[hide=Setup for outside the Wilderness]This setup has been only slightly altered, this is so you don't have to make many changes when banking for the next stage of the clue

level3setup.png

The fight with the saradomin wizard is quite hard, but if you're experienced you shouldn't have much trouble.

Take a dds to unleash some specs. Pray melee, and he will attack you with magic (hence the dragonhide for magic defence) Most players chose to endure magic as opposed to melee as his melee attacks are fast and poisoned. Magic defence is also cheaper.

Helm: Rune full helm

Neck: Amulet of Glory (4)

Torso: Black d'hide body

Legs: Black d'hide chaps

Boots: Boots of Lightness

Gloves: Penance gloves

Ring: Ring of Life

Cape: Spottier cape

Weapon: Dragon scimmy

Shield: Rune defender[/hide]

Invo

lol...either way...your outline is still pretty decent...for efficiency though...you should add a part for people who do them in groups...

1. Can you read? "Do not Post"

2. Outine is only extremely basic at the moment, and will improve.

3. It is impossible for people to do clue scrolls in groups.
