May 12, 200917 yr Hey guys, so recently my laptop screen went out. I took it to my computer store and was told that it would be 200 dollars to fix. The laptop itself still works, and I have it plugged into my OLD computer monitor. Basically I need to know if it is possible to change the resolution to 600*800 without being in safe mode, because safe mode is terribly slow, and has no sound! I can see the screen all the way up to the point of which I have to enter my password, so i do have the option to hit f2, and f10 when the computer starts. Please help as soon as possible, thank you.
May 12, 200917 yr Uhm, use the function keys to make it appear on the second screen, it's Fn + F7 on most laptops.
