Planning to grab the charms via the Rock Lobsters method. In any case, I already have 99 mage, so I know it's crazy but I don't want more Att/Str lvls to keep my combat low. I would like 99 Defense as well. Thus, my question boils down to: Will auto-casting in Defense mode decrease the damage done? Or is it a win-win in my case?

Damage will stay the same, exp is just split between defence, hp and magic when you go for defensive autocast.
