raudrey
My experience differed from the quest guide as follows: 19. Right-click the vent on the north wall and select 'reach'. Merlin will escape through the vent on a human pyramid in a cut scene. [i didnt get the cutscene, but went out the window too.] 20. To get out, you must now pick the lock on the metal door. If you did not bring a lockpick, you'll need something to pick the lock. Examine a guard outside the cell to find one combing his hair - use telekinetic grab on him to obtain his hair clip. If you don't have runes ask all of the knights for what they have in their pockets and you will get the runes. Use your lockpick or hair clip on the metal door to open the Tumbler puzzle. [You MIGHT get the runes, otherwise get a boost out the window, go in the back door and out the front door and to go bank. When you return and try to come back inside the door, you will be sent back to jail.] 22. Having solved the puzzle, you will be at the rear door of Keep Le Faye. Go inside and up two flights of stairs to the top floor. [You will be inside the Keep Le Faye tower.]
khil01
Have you already finished the quest? can you confirm the part about wizard crompty saying something about using something that turns you into stone to turn arthur back into human? (i made the thread a long time ago and no ones confirmed anything) http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?f=226&t=780975
raudrey
Yes, I finished the quest before I posted. I don't recall anything being said about me making King Arthur into a statue, only releasing him. Cromperty will give you an animate rock scroll to use on Arthur, or will comment that you already have one (from another quest). This handy scroll is then used to animate a rock, such as bringing a rock to life, and in this case it's King Arthur being released from his stone pose. I don't understand what the point would be for wanting to seal him back onto the stone. You need to meet with him in camelot at the end of the quest for your reward. raudrey
I went back and read you previous thread, and now I think I understand. Here's my theory: I'm thinking your ring of stone probably didn't have anything to do with it. Sounds like maybe you incidentally had it in you possession along with the animate rock scroll, Holy Grail and some granite required. Once you click him with these things in your possession, you get the cut scene. If you keep clicking on him, you probably will continue getting the cutscene, as its been unlocked, but the next action (giving him armour) hasn't been taken yet. If you leave without giving him armour, the spell that made him a statue may or may not put him back into statue form, but since you met the requirement once, even clicking with an empty inventory could possible be enough to call up the cut scene. Or perhaps the ring of stone substitutes for the granite. In terms of programming, my first theory makes more sense.
dogfever
My experience differed from the quest guide as follows: 19. Right-click the vent on the north wall and select 'reach'. I was still inside the room after Merlin escaped. 20. If you click on the vent again you'll get a boost out the window. You can walk in through the back doors of the tower and out the front. Trying to get back in the front will cause Morgan Le Faye to reappear and tele you back to jail. 22. He's right. I can post screenies of most of this on request. Probably just proof stuff. Not good enough for the guide.
Ned
Sorry for the delayed response. Step 22 of the guide has been edited, as I have confirmation that there is a cutscene for Merlin escaping. I do believe you are supposed to get the runes for the spell though, and I would need a screenshot proving otherwise in order to make a change to the guide. Nevertheless, thank you raudrey for pointing out the mistake, and thanks dogfever for confirming! You both have both been credited. Please feel free to PM me with any further questions or concerns. ~Wmx Want to help the Tip.It Crew? Visit the Website Updates & Corrections forum!
