Hi, Im thinking of either getting 99 fishing or 99 woodcut. My current lvls are 66 fishing and 74 woodcut. I know for a fact that I can make around 36m doing monk fish from 66-99.

 

 

 

What about woodcut? What should I train on? Does woodcut gives more money then fishing?

 

 

 

If you know a good guide for woodcut please show me.

Woodcutting and fishing give the same profit per hour, although a granite lobster can push fishing above woodcutting a little; however, both skills are mediocre at best for profit and I wouldn't recommend either one as a primary source of income.

 

 

 

The main difference between fishing and woodcutting is that woodcutting is faster experience, but fishing is more friendly to crowds. Otherwise, the skills are pretty much identical.

As Troacctid said a few posts up, Woodcutting and Fishing is not a good source of income.

 

The best moneymaker for Woodcuting is to cut Eucalyptus.

 

The best moneymaker for Fishing is to fish Monks.

 

 

 

These are the best ways to make money from those skills only, but there are much faster methods to make money.

No. Both of those options are slower and less cash than eucalyptus. If you want profit from woodcutting, the best option is eucalyptus.

I did some math and from 74-99 by only cutting Eucalyptus, I will get around 27m. And its around 50k exp ph?

Dragon hatchet is easily worth it, especially if you're getting 99 woodcutting. Since you can sell it back after 99, it's effectively free anyway, so no trouble there.

 

 

 

You make twice as much profit off magic logs cuz it takes twice as long. If you cut eucalyptus logs until you had 60m, it would take about the same amount of time as magic logs, but you'd have a ridiculously higher rank on the hiscores list. Alternatively, if you cut eucs to 99, you could use the time you saved to do something more profitable, like kill green dragons, and be much richer than if you'd wasted that time cutting magic logs.

Won't the ogres attack me while cutting?

Because the Ogress Warriors are so large, they can't pass the plants. There's a couple of spots where they won't attack you, the most common being right outside Oo'glog.

Plus you shouldn't be afraid of praying if you get caught in a pickle, since the pools there will restore your prayer and hp to full as well as cure disease and poison. In addition, you can even wear your heaviest armor since the pool there also offers unlimited run energy.

 

 

 

But that's only if you REALLY need it. Most people get along fine without using any armor or any prayer. Still though, if you somehow find yourself getting mauled by 2 ogresses and a few wolves, just know you have options.
