2,000 permanent people, but the school is mainly kids from other towns.

 

Over 300 kids here now. The most it has ever housed before.

Ok. What did you want me to say? To me, jock refers to anyone who does sports. Kinda like nerd refers to anyone who does theater or does very well in school or plays video games and doesn't play sports. That's just the way it works.
