You need to make the physical size of the gif smaller. The bigger the frame, the more colors it has to cut out so that the file size can be manageable.

That's what I did the first time. I had the same problem

I heard you can make good gifs with photoshop.

Too much effort. I'll stick to my [cabbage]-tier gifs for now

I imagine if you became fairly proficient at it, it would be fairly fast, but yeah, it takes a bit.

I don't remember what I made for using these, but I think they look alright. Second one is kinda big size, but the colors look almost as good as the original video.

 

Maybe it has something to do with there being big chunks of the same color
