lordkafei
Finally, 1.0! Looking forward to testing this one with some transport streams. http://www.videolan.org/ EDIT - I have been playing with this all afternoon. Things I like: The volume is much easier to adjust now with your mouse The MP3s I tried sound better than they do in iTunes - I am hearing bass that I didn't believe my tinny speakers could produce HD video streams look really good once you set the proper interlace settings Things that fall short: It can attach to an NTSC tuner (analog), but not to ATSC (digital) EDIT #2 - it somehow installed itself so that when I right-click on any folder, the first choice is to add it to the VLC playlist. That was totally uncalled for and not something I want at all. I'd expect that sort of crap from Nero, but not my beloved VideoLAN PvP is not for meIn the 3rd Year of the BoycottReal-world money saved since FT/W: Hundreds of DollarsReal-world time saved since FT/W: Thousands of Hours

ClareJonsson
We been using VLC for years, and I agree it's simply the best player around. I'm glad you mentioned setting the interlace, many people don't even know what it is or cant even tell the difference  [Assist-X]

ClareJonsson
Wow that is bad. I do a lot with PC based PVRs, and getting the interlace right on them is sometimes quite hard, and the best way to see if your interlace is correct is by watching the news ticker at the bottom of Sky News, if your interlace isn't correct then the ticker will not flow smoothly and be very jerky!
