Location of Lakim is south of the Bandit Desert camp on the other side of the ridge, not just south of the Beaduin Camp. And the first mention of te sigils should say they are on the pedestal, not further down.

Sorry about the time it took to get to this topic, especially since you are absolutely right. The wording of the locations was a bit confusing, and I hope it's easier to follow now that the quest guide has been updated. Thank you for your contribution, and you've been added to the credits. :)
