Yes, but the harpoon will count before the gloves. So it will go:

 

(100 exp from swordfish X 2 from harpoon) + 100 from gloves......... so it is 300 xp per Swordfish, instead of 400 if the gloves counted first.

Yes the formula works the same way from sharks as well.
