i had a real problem getting my 'lost' Zammy cape from the mage arena. I'd already completed it and got the cape, but it wasn't in my bank and when i went back and prayed to the statues, there was no response. I found (after around half an hour) that they can be (and it was) stored in your cape rack in your house.

 

I think it should be noted in the Mage Arena guide that you cannot get another cape if you have one allready in your bank and to check your cape rack in the costume room.
