I have an Nvidea GeForce 8400 GS. I have it hooked to my flat panel monitor through the DVI out. I want to add an external Tv to view videos with. When I plug my S-video cord between Input on tv and output from graphics card, nothing appears on the tv except flashes of what is on my main monitor when I do certain things. Can anyone help me figure out what is wrong?

start up the computer without s-video connected. then connect it to your tv and go into the nvidia control panel and fix the settings.
