Windows XP not remembering my MSCONFIG settings?

I got this issue recently when i upgraded my Nvidia driver to the newest 190.38.

 

 

 

For some reason, it just cannot remember my settings! It's weird, but it's true. After installing the driver, i realized that my core temp and QQ TM are not starting up with windows, so i checked in msconfig, and they just disappeared in the msconfig list! and i realized that their "Start up with windows" setting is also disabled. I was like ok, so i enabled them again, and made sure that they are in the msconfig setting as well, and restarted once again. But it's the same problem! They won't start up with windows, so i went into msconfig again, and apparently THEY ARE GONE AGAIN!!! And this is happening to every single software im adding after that driver installation... none of them would start up on boot....and their entry would not appear in msconfig at all....but i did install Core temp and QQ TM before the driver tho so...idk what the problem is...

 

 

 

does anyone know how to fix this msconfig forgetting stuff issue? i mean this is really annoying....

 

 

 

EDIT: i even tried put msconfig at normal start up, where it load everything, but they still won't load up, as for some reason they just keep disappearing in the msconfig list...
