Haaa_Haaa0
I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but here goes: A friend and I recently wrote a few songs and are trying to record them. Acoustic guitar and vocals worked fine, but attempting to use distorted guitar caused problems, namely the recording was overly distorted, and the notes had little if no clarity. [hide=What I've tried]Decreasing distortion Changing amp channels Altering the EQ of my amp Decreasing input volume in recording software Altering distance of mic to amp Plugging amp directly into computer (we have no mixing board yet) Using the noise gate built into my amp[/hide] [hide=Our equipment]Guitar: Laguna LE122 Electric Amp: Line 6 Spider 3 15 watt Not sure on the mic model, but I think it's a dynamic mic, not a compressor Audacity[/hide] Any questions, comments, or feedback are welcome!
