August 25, 200916 yr Here is an official release of a very handy tool that, in my opinion, is a lot better to use than Hijack This for exploring processes. It's for Windows, and is called Process Explorer , and is released by Microsoft. What makes it better? Not only can you look at all active processes, you can see EVERY .dll, and program that calls on that process, even hooks attacked to it. If you do not know what something is, right click it, and do an internet search ( built in ). I do recommend setting your FireFox to Google search, since yahoo, MSN and the like are have VERY inaccurate searches. ( in the address bar type in "about:config" than look for "browser.search.defaultenginename" ) Personally, this little tool has located a few memory hog and problemed programs that have attached themselves to some of my processes, and made my life a bit easier.
