I used to be a member, but i'm f2p at the moment and will remain so for this goal. I was 51 smithing and I started smithing a lot and just recently leveled up to 60. I think i'm gonna keep going with it and hopefully reach 85 smithing and be a rune smither. Have you calculated how much it will cost? Going to alch the plates? Actually the way I've been smithing is buying all the ores and then smelting them into steel bars. Then I sell back however many steel bars gets me my money back. Then I make the left-over steel bars into plates and high alch them.
