henthemage
Hello everybody, I am going to help you figure out how to get 99 smithing if you are stuck with it. Alright well, here goes. I personally do not have 99 smithing but i helped a friend get it. I gave him this exact guide once he was level 60 smithing. He did it losing about 40m. If you start from level 1 it will cost you from around 60m-70m. An alternative to buying adamantite bars for adamant platebodies, is to go to aviansies and kill those for the bars. I will work on getting exp per hour and costs once i have some more free time. So please bare with me while i work on this. levels 1-4, bronze daggers are a simple and cheap item to make and you will level fast. levels 4-7, bronze swords are the best exp until bronze full helms. levels 7-16, bronze full helms are great exp and pretty cheap. levels 16-18, bronze platelegs or plateskirt, either work and they are the same amount of exp. levels 18-33, bronze platebodies are the most exp until iron platebodies, the reason is, they are the most exp for you at this level. Knives are less exp but you can get more money back with them. levels 33-48, iron platebodies, fastest way to achieving your goal. levels 48-68, steel platebodies, once again, fastest way to achieving your goal. levels 68-88, this is where it gets expensive, you will have to make mithril platebodies for 20 levels. With stealing creation hammers, you can get up to 200k exp per hour, without it you will get about 100k exp per hour. levels 88-99, you're this close to your goal of 99 smithing! To achieve your 99 you will be making adamant platebodies. With stealing creation hammers, you can get about 250k exp per hour and without about 120k exp. ALTERNATIVES. some people like to make money smithing and that is just fine. One alternative is from level 35-99 you will make cannonballs. This is one of the slowest ways to get 99 smithing but it will make you a lot of money. levels 50-70, mithril bars, a profit of around 200-400 gp if you buy all your supplies. levels 70-85, adamantite bars, a profit of once again 200-400 gp if you buy the supplies. levels 85-99, runite bars, profit of 300 gp roughly if you buy your supplies. Smithing is a very costly skill unless you smelt or make cannonballs. Once you achieve 99 you can make everything and anything. Feedback is greatly appreciated. Feel free to discuss opinions. As i get feedback i will make more guides if you guys want, also i will take requests on most things, even monster killing, as guide requests. Bladewing
Here are some tips: Give xp/hour and cost/xp. Justify why platebodies are better than knives, if you make that claim. Another option you didn't mention is smithing with goldsmithing gauntlets. Cannonballs are not a good way to 99 smithing! They're only good if for some reason you need to make 200k an hour for some reason. How to Chin Nechyraels for fast XP and profit

Expl0de
This guide needs some major revisions. First of all, making addy platebodies is NOT an efficient way to 99, especially if smelted from ores. Iron and steel, or gold, are the best way to go. Do some research, and then rewrite, please. Also, the format is pretty low-quality. It's pretty much a long list. Use sentences with capitals and all that fun stuff.

Also, the format is pretty low-quality. It's pretty much a long list. Use sentences with capitals and all that fun stuff.WRONG. They are efficient. Let me go grab my proof... EDIT: Here it is:Well addy platebodies with SC is basically the most efficient way to go, once you have 88. It's about 340k xp, 1.9m coins, and 5.4 hammers per hour. It takes just over an hour to get get those hammers (you get about 5.3 hammers hourly in skill-only SC). He needs 10.6m xp or so. He'll be looking at about 31 hours of actual smithing, 60m gp costs, and about 32 hours of SC. Another popular method is iron knives, costing 1.62 coins per xp. You can smith about 900 bars hourly, if you smith 1 at a time (as you do with knives), and he'll need 212k iron bars to get to 99. This will take him 235 hours of smithing, 17.1m coins, and the 31 hours of SC. Addy plates: 63 hours, 60m coinsIron knives: 266 hours, 17.1m coins Using addy plates saves you 203 hours at the cost of 42.9m, the equivalent of costing you 211k/hour. That rules knives out! Another option is addy arrowtips. Again, you smith 900 bars hourly, but this time he'll only need 84k bars, which will take him 94.2 hours to smith. Addy tips will cost him 37m. Addy plates: 63 hours, 60m coinsAddy arrowtips: 125 hours, 37m coins Using addy plates saves you 62 hours at the cost of 23m coins, the equivalent of costing you 370k an hour. Addy plates are the best! How to Chin Nechyraels for fast XP and profit
