well there happens to be a tip.it guide on barbarian training =D

 

but if you want a quick answer, you just need to speak to otto about it.

Or maybe you already did speak to Otto.

in this case 2 things could have happened

 

a. you missed a dialogue topic =D

b. there is a prerequisite action that needs to take place

before you can learn barbarian potion making, you must learn barbarian fishing for example

im not sure if this applies to barbarian smithing as well, the tip.it guide does not go into detail.

 

So if you spoke to otto and still cant barbarian smith, try completing other barbarian tasks and going back to him
