Range/Mage Pure

I recently starting making a F2p pure. Since I am so fond of the range skill, I decided to make a range pure. I leveled it's range to 50 and decided to go pking. I got a few kills, but I found that I really needed something to KO my opponents faster, without them knowing what hit them until the landed in lumby. So, I decided that I would level my magic skill. I was wondering, at my combat level, what is the best magic level would be to KO effectively? I was thinking about 55 or so, but I thought that it may be too much. Anyways, any suggestions?

Max hit with magic is 16, but magic is good only when you are still low lvl, becouse 99 ranged can hit 16 or even 18 if you pray + had higher speed. I think that the best ko weapon for f2p so far is melee. Can hit 20+ easly which is more than rest of combat styles. If you still insist on useing magic 59 is a must, fire blast is quite powerful. You also need to consider the costs of runes, deaths aren't cheap nowdays

also, your going to be loosing 3 inventory spaces over just ranging, which is going to matter alot in dm's
