firestrike
Hi, I am about to start training runecrafting, after about 3 years of not touching the skill and have no idea the best way to train it.I would like to make a decent profit, yet still make good exp at the same time. I have been led to belive that leaves either making nats or Astrals. My question is, with 61 runecraft and 68 summon, what is the best method (money per hour and exp per hour) and how do i train them, i.e. for astrals what familiar do i use, to i teleport to somewhere to craft the runes, or run the whole way? and should i usethe 3 pouches i have available to me, eg. small med and large. I think the most efficient way for nats is graahk tele and run to altar and then cw tele and repeat, but again do i use pouches etc. And I am assuming ZMI is a loss or severely less profit, if it isn't that could be an option. If it helps i am training from 61-75 (for the ardy ach diary expert task) Thanks in advance for the help.
armybuilder
i believe ZMI you can make a profit but small. I prefer using Graahks i just find it slightly more less boring and to use ZMI to the best you need lunar unlocked however as i can see from your stats you have 83 so you proberly do have it +)ZMI = XPGraahk = Profit [spoiler=Clans]Current Events Leader of Tal Shiar AllianceCurrent Raid Leader of Wilderness GuardiansCurrent Old School Power Ranger of Team Power RangersCurrent Member of Clan EuropeEx Member of Team Dark Legacy (R.I.P)Ex Paladin of Old Age Militos DeciEx Leader of New Age Militos DeciEx Early Veteran of Pk Masters (R.I.P)
firestrike
I am more interested in inventories, exp per hour and gp per hour figures as well as the method used to runecraft, i.e how do i efficiently make astrals. ZMI i am not going to do. thanks for the reply though.
Zaaps1
Smoke runes. Use Magic Imbue + Binding necklaces. You could also make Steam runes for even better xp, but at a loss. Smoke/Steam runes are the best rc xp until the 80s, when ZMI becomes better. ~It's Super Effective! firestrike
Army thanks for the reply, currently i have the 2 best pouches available to me, 10 spirit graaks and 50 rings of dueling, seeing how far that takes me. Any info on astrals would be great and comparisons between astrals and natures as that is my main question. As i said in the second line of my post i want to make a "decent profit", not a small loss or small gain. The fastest method is not always the best. Any info on astrals would be great and comparisons between astrals and natures as that is my main question. As i said in the second line of my post i want to make a "decent profit", not a small loss or small gain. The fastest method is not always the best. Smart and true, but does not apply in this particular case. The fact is that Runecrafting is not the moneymaker it once was (excluding 91 and perhaps 82). Almost everything is better than it (green dragons, mining gold, aviansies, barrows, anything you can think of really). Of course, the counterargument is immediately: "but you get RC xp". If you really want me to break it down, I will, but you're much better off doing other moneymaker + smoke runes than Ghraak/Abyss for pure rc profit. In the end, you will make the same money and get the same runecrafitng xp, but in far less time. This time can then be turned into even MORE money or MORE RC xp, making other moneymaker + smoke runes the better option by far. If you want me to explain more, post, and I will. So technically speaking, the "best" way to train runecrafting is by smoke runes, then using the saved time to make money. However "best" is not the same as "favorite". You may enjoy Ghraak/Abyss runecrafting far more than the "best" method. This would override the fact that the best method is "best", and you should therefore do your favorite method. But in that case, you don't really need anyone's help if you know what method is your favorite. EDIT: You'll notice I said that 91 and 82 are possible exceptions to the "RC makes no good (relative) money" rule. But even when you take this into account, smoke runes are better. This is because you get the level a lot faster, and therefore you have longer to use 91/82 runecrafting. You can use this extra time to make more money with 91/82 than you could have Ghraaking/abyss training. ~It's Super Effective! Zaaps1
Sure. First to establish some floor numbers (keeping in mind these are all averages and using all 3 pouches, which the OP doesn't have since he is only 60 rc, but this should only make the better methods better and the worse methods worse): Smoke Runes are ~40k xp/hr, negligible magic xp/hr, and break even.Ghraak Natures are ~25k xp/hr and 250k profit/hr, as well as negligible summoning xpBarrows is ~900k profit/hr, with accountable combat xp, but the combat xp will be ignored for simplicity's sake Note you could also use Steam Runes instead of Smoke Runes for 45k xp/hr but 200-300k loss. However, this is obviously too expensive in this case, so will be ignored. So let's say the OP wants to gain 20m (arbitrary figure). Now if he just ghraaked the whole way, he would get it in 80 hours and would have 2M RC xp as well. That means that he has 58 hours to spend runecrafting to make up that xp. In 50 hours of smoke runecrafting, he could have his 2M runecrafting xp. This means that he has 8 hours left over. Those 8 hours can be spent at barrows (making an extra 7.2M cash) or getting xp (320k extra xp). To summarize: in 80 hours of Ghraaks, a player could gain 20M cash and 2M RC xp. In those same 20 hours, the same player could gain 20M cash and 2M RC xp in 8 LESS HOURS, which can be spent making 7.2M extra cash or 320k extra RC xp. If he was to go for XP, it is a similar story. If he were to go for a level, it is also a similar story. EDIT: As far as guides go, Zarfot's is hands down the best (although he explains it for steam runes and not smoke runes, you should get the general idea). Find it by googling "Mega Runecrafting Guide 4", or by searching that same query in the RSOF. TIF also has a good guide (with pictures!): http://forum.tip.it/topic/245758-smoke-runecrafting-quick-read-32-40k-exp-per-hour/ ~It's Super Effective!
