curmudgeony
Its my 1st slayer assignment with this bad boys. Any tips or tricks? I know about the whole hit through prayer thing/lower stats thing. I'm assuming tanking with a bunyip, food, guthans, and stat restores pots plus a cannon is a good tactic. Anything else or other suggestions?
Mischlings
Use good melee defence gear (shield instead of defender if you have a good shield), take a super set with you, have a bunyip summoned, and take about 16-20 monkfish. Kill the Goraks, eating as needed, super potting if your skills get down low enough. You'll get a ton of gems and a few half keys. If your inventory fills up, run out and bank at Zanaris, grabbing more food. This is actually a very easy task, you just take a good deal of damage. Guthan's set is unnecessary since the bank is so close. Just go back for more food when you need it. If you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.

I would also add myself that between a bunyip, the enhanced excalibur and torags w/ dragon square. I had food to spare. My thoughts on the cannon--I was disapointed in how ineffective it was compared to its effects on hellhounds, kalphites, and even greater demons. The cannon only targeted the Gorak I was fighting. I found it would strike other Goraks if I was not in combat with one, so more then once I ran around the outside so the cannon would hit more Goraks. Zaaps1
If you so chose, you could also bring a cannon for extra damage. Or, you could even do the whole cannon + range + safespot deal and get the task done even quicker. ~It's Super Effective!
