lahit
Tips, tricks & notes: * The Lunar Spellbook is useful, since it offers teleports to Lunar Isle and Waterbirth Island. When you need to change to the Standard Spellbook for the boss fight, simply pray at the Astral Altar on Lunar Isle. * The fight against the Dagannoth Mother is inventory-intensive, as it requires the use of various runes and other items. It is therefore suggested to use a Beast of Burden familiar to carry additional supplies for you (food in particular). * Bank while you can! You'll often be forced into time-consuming combat situations during the quest which can quickly drain you of supplies. Restock at every opportunity you receive, particularly whenever Brundt gives you the option to bank at Etceteria. New: * After the quest you can high-alch the Balmung for a free 135k, since it is the first time you lose it, getting it back will be free! Me_Hate_Libs
Yes, you can alch it. Once. After that you gotta pay 225k for it. This website and its contents are copyright © 1999 - 2010 Jagex Ltd.
pokemama
Yeah I don't see the need to mention that in the quest guide. It IS in the item entry for Balmung. And the high alch value was already noted by many people since the quest came out. Thanks tho lahit, for posting, it's appreciated. I hope you will continue to post good info like this so that we can credit you. And thanks Me_Hate_Libs for posting about having to pay later. Your post confirms both of the Crew's findings: the down side of alching (having to buy it if you alch it more than once), and the price to re-obtain it. it's a lot easier to get over yourself when you look at intelligence the same way you look at beauty, or height, or eye color: being smart is easy, but being good is hard ... being smart is handed to you, being good is handed to *nobody*.
