Likwidair
After several attempts to defeat the mother and running out of food due to high damage I came up with a "tag" method which proved to be much safer. Equipment was oriented towards mage defense as I was using Protect from Range prayer. Extra food was located in my familiar. When the fight started I used Balmung initially until the Dagganoth Mother changed defense. As soon as this happened I moved a few spaces away so that the only damage I was recieving was range/mage. This led to the Dagganoth mother hitting a max hit of 14 on me with mage, as opposed to 43 with melee. When ever she changed stances I cast one spell of the particular element, or one dart for range to trigger the stance change. As soon as the Dagannoth Mother turned orange (melee weakness) I charged in with Balmung, and retreated when she changed. I ended the fight with food left over due to the low damage output of mage. In conclusion I believe that mage defense is the preferred armour option as it severley reduces the Dagannoth Mother's damage output.
Rien
Heya. :) The following note can be found in the portion of the guide concerning the boss fight: You may choose to change your protection prayer to match her varying attacks. However, it's simpler to stay on either 'Protect from Ranged' or 'Protect from Mage' prayer and just eat to restore other damage. Step a few spaces away from her so she can only hit you with range and magic. I believe this more or less summarizes your suggestion (please correct me if I'm mistaken), in that it discusses eliminating the Mother's melee attack by keeping at a distance and praying against one of the two remaining combat styles. The rest of the boss-battle section, I believe, covers the other necessary information for the fight adequately. Thank you for you submission, but I don't believe any change is necessary. Please feel free to pm me if you would like to discuss this further, and thanks again! :) Interested in helping the Tip.It Crew? Check out our Website Updates & Corrections Board!
