Mischlings
I've been trying to train hunter the last couple days (key word: trying) and the problem is the sheer number of people. I cannot even find a remotely empty spot in the German worlds. So, at 73 hunter, are there any decent alternatives that don't involve dropping/releasing everything that I catch? Gin_and_Tonic
Only other viable alternative to red chins is grey chins, if you dont want to drop anything. Why are you only using german worlds?
Mischlings
I'm not only using German worlds -- I was saying that even the German worlds are crowded -- usually you can find a more open spot in the foreign language worlds, but that hasn't worked for me. Zaaps1
Use the "Surround" method of catching chins. All you need is one spawn, so choose one that is abandoned, and hunt away. The surround method is supposedly faster than normal hunting, and it's a lot easier since crowds are insignificant (since you only need 1 spawn anywhere in the world). Essentially, you surround the spawn of one chinchompa, and kill that chinchompa with range if it runs outside the lure of your traps. More often then not, the chinchompa will try a trap upon respawning, and if it ever leaves the "net" you have around its spawn, you simply kill it. It's pretty efficient, just make sure you're in a world that's decently full. ~It's Super Effective! Albel
This is a proble with hunter. Most people hunt red chins for 99...or to get some quick cash. Unfortunately what people realize is that every world and every area to hunt red chins always has one or two people there. There is no way around it. This is why I quit 99 hunter, I could not deal with all the people <_< All I can say is try red sallies, gray chins, or just stick with the issuses of red chins hunting. It starts to get better at around Level 80+ [hide=Quotes]Albel/JustinAlbel doesn't say anything anymore, just comes in, leaves an arrow and vanishes into the night :(Probablypractising some euphoniumYou nearly had me fooled, you fooler youEuphonium/10.9/10. Sad thing is, when I've tried, it's been so crowded that the only open spawns I could find had obstacles on one side so that I couldn't set up all my traps around it. I was even on at 3am EST (couldn't sleep last night) and it was still crowded. I've tried the surround method and, while it wasn't horrible, there weren't many free spawns and whenever I managed to find one, someone else came in and tried to take it. I'm reminded of why it's been about 1.5 years since I trained this skill. If you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature. Zaaps1
Obstacles on one side as in one you can walk on, or one you can't? And you don't need to have the traps adjacent to the spawn. You can make it a bit more spaced out. 2 spaces away in any direction or combination of directions is enough. ~It's Super Effective! Zaaps1
Well a tree would actually help you, since the chinchompa cannot run off in that direction. It acts as a wall. ~It's Super Effective!
