spots cracks imperfections

takes years off

in the right light

 

until

a snowplow fingernail

scoops through the illusion

clumps of rainwater sludge

run like mascara

down the cheeks of a drunk

 

still

could do without snow

it's just a pretty inconvenience

makeup is not my problem

 

so

keep it up
