Reaperxlz
Ok i'm currently camping at fire giants to raise my range level. Atm is 58, would it be wise to use the rune crossbow to train once i hit 61 or should i train with something else?
Zaaps1
The best training weapon outside of chinchompas is always knives. Use them. I recommend bronze, but iron and black work wonders as well. If you can afford doing so, I'd also recommend cannoning. You can cannon yaks, or Ice Trolls for profit. You can even cannon your Fire Giants, although you'd run a loss. At such a low level, I'd also suggest thinking about Void. If you aren't 100 combat yet, you might want to put it off, but it is still worth considering. With a long journey ahead of you, Void will be very useful very often. ~It's Super Effective! Reaperxlz
I've read that void only useful really after 80 range. WHy would the crossbow be a bad idea? It does nice damage from what i've seen.
Zaaps1
Crossbow is fantastic. It has great accuracy and great power, not to mention great versatility. However, it is too slow for training. Use it for tougher monsters you are hunting for profits, such as boss monsters, but do not use it for training unless you absolutely have to. Knives, while weaker, do more damage to training monsters in the long run. Void is always good, it just boosts greater amounts at higher levels. That doesn't mean it isn't worth using though, and I'd recommend considering it. ~It's Super Effective! Reaperxlz
i have considered it but just the fact that im not at 100 combat and doing PC is relatively annoying because of the novice boat is a reason why i wouldnt see it'd be worth my time. I mean once i hit 100 combat im sure it'll be easier but for the time being its just not something i care enough to deal with.
Zaaps1
Right, be sure to keep it in the back of your mind, as Void is very useful for your training. ~It's Super Effective! Sinkhan
There are a lot of "annoying" things in Runescape that are worth doing, including void and mobilising armies, but both have huge benefits. You should also know that for an extra 200 points, the void melee helmet lets you train at a boosted rate via melee as well. Great for doing AZs with the salve (e) down the line. While it is a bit tedious, you should still stick it out and play PC to get full void. I did most of my games on the novice boat when I was 95ish CB which meant slow, but almost guaranteed points. You don't have to do it all at once and you do get some coins to help cover any costs per game (Arrows, runes, etc). And remember, you are still getting some xp while playing the game. Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug
