What I want to see is this halftone idea (used in your icons at top) integrated more into the design perhaps. Don't like the bright green, maybe a cyan or even maybe yellow would be a better option.

Everything looks a bit big, and it's all squashed into a small space. Give the quote more line spacing ^^

The RSS, twitter, and Facebook icons are also way too distracting, I wouldn't say you need to give them that much dominance.
