I'm pretty new back and I've been looking around and it seems like there isn't any PvP in the wilderness in normal worlds. Is that true?

That's true, PVP can now only be done on specific PVP worlds where you have the whole world to pk in, or on BH worlds, be it +1 or not, where you are limited to pking in the whole of the wilderness minus a few safespots.

It could have, but it is next to impossible because it also could have been caused by the flying spaghetti monster, or one of the other infinite number of deity possibilities.
