May 6, 201016 yr Hi I was camping at cannoneers earlier and i went to far and got them aggressive, but that happens sometimes I know but what im wondering is why some cannoneers would walk past me and why some were still attacking me, and this was happening right after they got aggressive all the way to when they stopped being aggressive, anyone know whats up with this? May 6, 201016 yr Every monster has two things (well, among others, but we're only interested in these two atm): visibility and range. Some monsters can't see very far, and thus you need to get close to get their attention. Idk if cannoneers have poor visibility, but it's possible. Secondly, range. Range is the patrol area of a monster, and that monster cannot attack anything outside of that range (for example, this is why running away from a monster is a way to escape combat. Because once you leave its patrol area, or range, it can no longer launch new attacks--although attacks already in the air will still hit you). So if a certain cannoneer can see you, but you are outside of its range, it cannot attack you. That's the info I have to offer. ~It's Super Effective! And also while im at it does any1 maybe know an estimate on the drop rate of picks from cannoneers. Good Timber does not grow with ease, the stronger the wind, the stronger the trees. May 6, 201016 yr I haven't really spent much time down there, so I really don't know. The info I gave is what I know from other locations, perhaps they apply, maybe they don't. Maybe cannoneers are just weird :D Sorry I couldn't help you that much. ~It's Super Effective! May 6, 201016 yr the agro system there is abnormal. I'll walk in sometimes after months of not being there and get piled, where as sometimes I'll leave to bank and come back and not be. DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers ringsQBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow partsCR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size....It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty).
May 6, 201016 yr Well this is a little off-topic, but the problem you are getting Aeil is that every monster in there besides Dwogres is not aggressive until you attack it. For example, if you attack a chaos dwarf or cannoneeer, all the chaos dwarves and cannoneers will attack you. If you attack a black guard, all of the black guards will attack you.
